Sony’s WH-1000XM4 headphones drop to a new low of $130 for Prime Day

There’s nothing better than finding a killer deal on a great product, and here’s an October Heads Day deal that checks almost all the right boxes. It is trading at $130, a new record low. They often sell for $348, and the previous record low price was $198.

These are no longer the best Sony headphones on the market. The XM5s are now at the top of the mountain (they are our favourites common). However, the XM4s are still a fantastic set of boxes, especially at this low price.

Sony’s excellent WH-1000XM4 noise-cancelling headphones have dropped to their lowest price yet for the October Prime Day release. These boxes can be yours for just $130.

We gave away the XM4s . Powerful, customizable active noise cancellation was a major selling point, as was immersive audio. The “pause while talking” feature is quite handy, and multipoint connectivity is always nice. Price was one of our main gripes, but thankfully that’s less of an issue now.

Sony says you’ll get up to 30 hours of use from a single charge (which matches our tests), and you’ll get five hours of playback time after a 10-minute quick charge. We felt the touch controls worked reliably well, while the five-microphone array should help clear your voice during calls.

In addition, the XM4s support Sony’s 360 Reality Audio format for immersive sound. Songs usually sound better than standard tracks, and the supported music library has grown over the years, but not every streaming service supports the format. Amazon Music Unlimited is the most popular option. Tidal, on the other hand, this summer in favor of Dolby Atmos.
