Gmail’s Gemini-powered Q&A feature comes to iOS

Google a few months ago presented A new way to search Gmail with the help of Gemini AI. A feature called Gmail Q&A lets you find specific emails and information by asking the Gemini chatbot questions. “What time is our dinner reservation on Saturday?” you can ask things like to quickly find the information you need. It was initially only available on Android devices, but now Google has launched rolling it out to iPhones.

In addition to being able to ask questions, you can also tell Gemini to simply “Find unread emails [the person’s name].” You can ask the chatbot to summarize a topic you’ll find in your inbox, such as a work project you’ve been working on for months, consisting of multiple conversations on several topics. And you can even use Gemini in Gmail to do this. General search queries without leaving the inbox To access Gemini, simply tap the star icon in the top-right corner of your Gmail app.

Google says it may take up to 15 days for the feature to reach your devices. Note, however, that you must have access to Gemini Business, Enterprise, Education, Education Premium or Google One AI Premium to use it.
