Now there is company officially released that feature. Smart answers Available in Gmail since 2017, it lets you reply to messages quickly, impersonally, even if you’re in a hurry or on the go. These machine-generated responses are quite limited and are often just one-liners to let the recipient know you understand what they’re saying or agree with whatever they’re suggesting.
The new smart replies created by Gemini take into account the full content of the email subject. You may still need to edit them a bit if you want them to be as close as possible to something you’re going to write, but they’re more detailed and more engaging. When you get this feature, you’ll see several reply options at the bottom of your screen when replying through the Gmail app. Just swipe over each of them to get a detailed view before choosing the one you think fits the best.
If you have a Gemini Business, Enterprise, Education, or Education Premium add-on, or if you have a Google One AI Premium subscription, you’ll have access to this feature. Google says it can take up to 15 days for Gemini’s smart replies to appear in your app — just make sure you tick the “Smart features and personalization” option in your Gmail app’s Settings page.
