The Last of Us season two trailer shows Ellie in danger and Joel in… therapy?


It’s September 26 and to mark the occasion released the first proper trailer for the second season misery simulator TV adaptation. It expands we saw the first glimpses of Kathryn O’Hara’s character (apparently a therapist) and Kaitlyn Dever as major newcomer Abby a few weeks ago. There’s more of both here, including a terrifying infection sequence that nearly crushes Abby under a chain-link fence.

There are a few more recognizable moments The end of us part II in the new clip, including an encounter between Ellie (Bella Ramsey) and the infected in an abandoned supermarket, and the famous scene where she plays guitar for Dina (Isabela Merced). The subway segment of the game is presented with Seraphites and Jeffrey Wright reprising his game. Part II plays the role of the leader of a warrior faction. Of course, Joel (Pedro Pascal) is also featured throughout the trailer — he plays guitar with Ellie and tears up during a therapy session with O’Hara.

Unfortunately, the clip doesn’t narrow down the release date for the season, which will air in 2025. However, HBO head Casey Bloys coming in the first half of next year to qualify for the next Emmy awards (the same goes for next season) White Lotus).
