The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has officially issued the full recommendation good against political consultant Steve Cramer. That’s after he began making a series of robocalls to New Hampshire residents with a pre-recorded voice of President Biden using deep-fake AI technology. Fake Biden told voters not to vote in the upcoming primary, saying, “Your votes make a difference in November, not this Tuesday.” Kramer must pay a $6 million fine within the next 30 days or the Justice Department will administer the collection, according to the FCC statement.
Not only does Kramer face a fine; there is also a criminal case against him. New Hampshire Attorney General John M. Formella has announced that he will face multiple counts of voter suppression and political impersonation.
It was not a very difficult process. Kramer hired a New Orleans magician (an actual magician) Paul Carpenter to make fake recordings. Carpenter showed NBC News how he made deep fake audio files using ElevenLabs. He said it only took about 20 minutes.

The Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra will start at $1,200 for the 256GB model – pre-orders are open now and the tablet will be available on October 3rd.
