We knew Amazon would be reviving its Prime Big Deal Days sales event this fall, but we didn’t know the exact dates until now. Online retailer announced sale event will return this year on October 8th and 9th, which gives us even more reason to call it October’s Prime Day as we have done in past years. This is the third iteration of Amazon’s fall sales event, which we’re using as the official start of the holiday shopping season, and as we’ve seen early, there are already discounts. Prime Day in July remains Amazon’s go-to sales event for Prime members, but since its debut in 2022, Prime Day in October has offered thousands of exclusive deals for subscribers to shop in a two-day window. In turn, it also provides a way for Amazon to increase sales during the same period and, more importantly, to increase the total number of sales. Main subscribers. While we expect most of the deals on Prime Big Deal Days to be exclusive to Prime members, there are always a few deals available to all Amazon shoppers.
As for the deals we’re looking forward to, we can bet Amazon’s own devices will be on sale: Echo speakers, Kindle readers, Blink security cameras, and more. We usually see technology such as wireless headphones, speakers, robot vacuums and SSDs launched at these events. While it’s too early to think about holiday shopping, it’s a good idea to indulge. If history is any indication, the sales prices we see on October’s Prime Day will be similar (and in some cases identical) to what we see these days. Black Friday and Cyber Monday this year. You can also expect some “Lightning Deals” happening on October’s Prime Day. Fortunately, these are usually clearly labeled with the amount of time left to catch the sale price listed on the product page. In our experience, only a few of these flash deals are actually worth your money — but if you see something on your wishlist drop in price in just a few hours, it’s in your best interest to grab it right away.
