If you grew up in the era of the NES and SNES consoles, you may be dismayed to learn that there is one of the biggest video game crossovers since then. Marvel and Capcom Available on Nintendo Switch.
Nintendo has announced the addition of four new SNES games to its Switch Online service, including 1993 beat ’em up. Battletoads/Double Dragon. This rare melee matchup between martial arts duo Billy and Jimmy Lee takes players into the universes of both games as they wade through unique waves of punching enemies.
The crossover begins when the Evil Queen from the Battletoads universe makes a deal with the Shadow Boss from the Twin Dragon Earth universe. He sends a giant ship called the Colossus to take over our planet so Zitz, Rash and Pimple take the Twin Dragons with the Battlecopter and intercept it to stop the ship from reaching Earth. The game features seven levels that take place on Colossus and on Earth, as Battletoads and Double Dragons smash, kick, and run away from enemies and bosses from both video game franchises.
The latest Switch Online game update also brings three more SNES games to the Nintendo Switch. Update included Tetris– inspiration Cosmo Gang Puzzle, Jaleco rally racer A great escape and a Super Famicon port Kunio-kun no Dodgeball da yo Zen’in Shugō! (It’s Kunio’s Dodgeball, Collect Them All!).
