New, unsoldered $26 8BitDo can turn your old GameCube controller into a wireless Bluetooth device that works with Nintendo Switch and Android. It will also work with the original GameCube, but you’ll have to shell out $26 for it too. The mod kit comes with Hall Effect joysticks, a trigger pack, and a rechargeable 300mAh battery, which 8BitDo says will get you about 6 hours of playtime. Pre-orders for the kit are now open and it will ship on September 25th.

There are numerous adapters on the market that will allow you to use the original wired GameCube controller with the Switch, including 8BitDo’s own. adapter and is official from Nintendo, but the mod kit cuts out the middleman to bring a completely wireless Bluetooth connection. All you need to do is open the controller and replace the old PCB with the new one.
