Analogue’s latest limited edition Pocket consoles are inspired by the Game Boy Color

Analog’s retro handheld console now available in six limited-time colors in addition to the standard black and white. They will be available on September 12th at 11am ET and will ship between 24 and 48 hours after your order is confirmed. These aren’t Analogue’s only limited editions, as the company has released aluminum, clear and consoles in the past (just to name a few).

The six colors are based on the original shell shades of the classic Game Boy Color, with color matches to handheld consoles sold from 1998 to 2003. Colors are Berry, Dandelion, Gold, Grape, Kiwi and Teal. You can get one of these limited edition consoles for $250.

Those who prefer the usual they can rejoice because they will be refilled and redeemed on the same day. As Analogue wants to keep the standard versions in stock “as stable as possible”, these will be shipped immediately. This is something that has been difficult since the launch of the console, as often they are more interested in creating expensive limited edition options than stocking the core product.

In addition to these two announcements, Analogue has promised firmware update 2.3, but we don’t have all the details yet, other than that it will be available on September 12th. We’ll update this post when we get more information. .
