If you i missedApple has unveiled all the new iPhones we’ve been waiting for, a new Apple Watch that could steal a lot of headlines (bigger, thinner, better!), and a surprising new push for its wireless headphones. three new models and a software update for AirPods Pro, which brings the company into a new product category through software only.
We’ll chew on the following, but first: the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro. The two devices have a surprising parity of new features this year. The iPhone 16 also gets an action key (left edge, above the volume keys) and a new camera key.
Well, it’s more than just a button. With all sorts of sensors and technology inside, you can adjust in-camera controls and settings—think zoom, exposure, and aperture—with gentle swipes and presses. Apple is already planning an update to half-press the camera to focus and full-press to shoot.
Why did Apple redesign the iPhone 16 camera module? The cynic in me thought that this change with the vertically stacked lenses was just a desperate gesture to show that people have the latest iPhone, but there’s a reason for that. Apparently, this arrangement means that the cameras can work in tandem to capture spatial video and photos.
The iPhone 16 Pro (and Pro Max) both have improved shooting features. There’s (thankfully!) parity between the 6.9-inch Pro Max and the 6.2-inch Pro, with the smaller Pro getting 5x optical zoom this year. The ultra-wide-angle camera has been upgraded from 12 megapixels to 48 megapixels on both Pro models. The iPhone 16 Pro can record video in 4K at 120fps, so you can switch to or undo slow-mo after the fact — no need for slow-mo.
The iPhone 16 Pros have a bigger battery, which gives us that perennial line: “The best battery life on an iPhone.” However, in Apple’s own spec cheat sheet, it gets a little more specific, saying it’s the “best iPhone battery life on the Pro Max.” This is something that should be carefully considered in reviews. But after last year’s switch to USB-C, the lightness of the titanium construction and the action button doesn’t sound like an upgrade.
Having said that, what am I? I does? I’m currently juggling an Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max and a Pixel 9 Pro XL, which are too big for me. Last year, I leaned on the iPhone 15 Pro Max instead of the iPhone 15 Pro for the 5x camera zoom… and nothing else.
This time, the iPhone 16 Pro pair has almost the same specs as the iPhone 14 series — this is how it should be – so I line up pre-order For black iPhone 16 Pro with 1TB storage. I can change my mind.
If you own a Pro Max iPhone, I think you can probably wait a year, but this is also a great time to upgrade to the basic iPhone 16. It’s getting those new buttons, it’s going to work with Apple Intelligence. it’s been around for a few months and has a pretty nice range of colors.

At yesterday’s event, Apple’s wearable got its biggest specs yet, with the Apple Watch featuring the biggest display and thinnest design yet. The wide-angle OLED display is slightly larger than the Apple Watch Ultra 2. Apple claims that thanks to this new OLED technology, the screen is 40 percent brighter when viewed from an angle, and it will show the second hand ticking. even when your wrist is down. The company claims 18 hours of battery life, so someone should remind Apple no full day.

As the rumors suggested, Apple introduced the fourth generation of AirPods this week. They have a redesigned bud shape to better fit the ear shape. The new entry-level AirPods also have an H2 chip to power features like Spatial Audio. The charging case has a USB-C port, making it the smallest AirPods charging case to date. To throw a spanner in the works, Apple has announced a second model that supports active noise cancellation and Transparency mode. Not to be confused with the AirPods Pro, which are still available.
Google has finally figured it out, especially with battery life.
