A Tamagotchi made with real egg

It’s Labor Day, so tech news is usually slow. Like the new Tamagotchi, we still have some exciting titles to share. It’s Bandai’s newest digital pet made from recycled eggshells. The Original Tamagotchi Celebration digital pet is even colored like a black/brown egg, with green and white designs with pink accents and buttons.

It’s a bit of a letdown compared to the recently released Tamagotchis. In May, the company re-released the Tamagotchi Connection model with a fake antenna to celebrate its 20th anniversary. Last year’s Tamagotchi Uni had WiFi connectivity and gave users access to the Tamaverse.

It’s a little simpler and is available on Amazon, currently on pre-order for $30.
