Labor Day deals are coming in hot. Here’s to Apple’s fantastic MagSafe charging pad. Normally $39, but this is an Amazon sale . That’s a savings of 26 percent and is close to a record low.
If you haven’t tried a charging pad before, you’re in for a treat. There’s a reason this thing made our list . All you do is plug it in and then put the device directly on it. Thanks to the magic of inductive charging, it will juice up.

Apple’s MagSafe charging pad will work with almost any Apple phone past the iPhone 8, though the built-in magnetic locking mechanism only works with the iPhone 12 and later. All this means is that older phones will be a bit more difficult to accommodate. Also, the charging pad is not attached to the phones. It powers the charging cases that come with most AirPods.
We loved the strong built-in magnets that made it easy to place the phone. The only real downside is that the cord from the pad to the power outlet is on the shorter side, so it may require some furniture repositioning or the use of an extension cord.
The original $39 asking price was also a stretch, given that off-brand products are cheaper. That changed with this sale. Why buy a third-party charging pad for $25 when you can get a real deal for $29?
