Favorite platformer Pizza Tower finally playable on Nintendo Switchas discovered in the company Indie World event. In fact, this is one of the surprise drops, which is why the game is available now.
It’s about time the title was on a Nintendo console because, he feels Like a Nintendo game. Pizza Tower Wario Land is a crazy 2D side scroller that borrows a lot from the franchise and, to a lesser extent, the Mario and Sonic games.
You play as a bald chef and this is the real Peppino Spaghetti. The game tasks you with expanding the titular tower to battle a sentient pizza that looks like the Bowser of Italian food. The game was mainly developed by someone named McPig and the soundtrack was created by a high school student. This is an indie game wonder!
However, forget all that. Where is the game? Pizza Tower shines The movement feels perfect, so the platforming is simply S-level. It’s polished to a Nintendo-esque sheen, which is quite an achievement for a high school student and nicknamed McPig. There are tons of fully-realized abilities and a commitment to speed pulled straight from Sonic. Also, Peppino can’t die, which allows for insane platforming experiences.
In other words, it’s one heck of a game, and it’s now on a Nintendo console. This should be pretty exciting for the development team.
