Reanimal promises a ‘more terrifying journey’ than Little Nightmares


Tarsier Studios, creators of the first two Little Nightmares games is back with another creepy adventure – and its “partially disembowelled talking pig” teaser video it seems to set the right tone. was announced Gamescom Opening Night, Animal takes two children on an adventure on land and sea as they work together to rescue their lost friends on an island full of terrifying creatures.

The developer handled the first two installments of Little Nightmares before Supermassive Games Moved to Part III. The new game promises to up the ante with “an even more terrifying journey than before.”

The horror-adventure game stars a brother and sister in a “disturbing tale” that “go through hell to save their missing friends.” The protagonists are depicted as broken but resilient, fearsome beasts, facing fragments of their troubled pasts. He will somehow explore themes of hope and redemption as he navigates the chilly environment.

The game allows for single player or co-op (local and online) play. Illustrating the creators’ understanding of the horror genre, it uses a shared, directional camera to “maximize claustrophobia and tension.”

Animal no launch date yet, other than “coming soon”, but we know it’s coming PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. You can watch the announcement trailer below.
