It happened rumors circulated for a while that The Great Circle – a game developed by Xbox subsidiary MachineGames and published by Xbox – also coming to PS5. Bethesda VP Pete Hines in June 2023 testified In the lawsuits that Disney and ZeniMax originally planned to release The Great Circle on multiple platforms and only became an Xbox exclusive after Microsoft’s purchase of ZeniMax was confirmed.
No Xbox release required The Great Circle On PS5 or any other platform. This whole situation is separate from Microsoft controversial acquisition Activision Blizzard, where the Xbox is legally obligated to release new games as early as this fall Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on competing consoles.
