Hyper Light Breaker’s early access launch delayed to 2025


Hyper Light Drifter fans, you will have to wait a little longer to start playing its sequel title. There is a heart machine announced that pushed back Hyper Light Breaker Steam Early Access will launch “very early next year.” In a statement, the developer said that after many conversations with publisher Arc Games, it determined that more time was needed to polish the gameplay experience of the title. He still didn’t reveal the issues he was fixing, but explained that he didn’t want to ship a game that wasn’t up to his standards. The studio also said it didn’t want to rush and burn out its team.

Heart Machine writes: “…We REALLY need to make sure the game’s core foundational units are as strong as possible so we can build on them during Early Access.” The company initially targeted a spring 2023 launch presented the game two years ago. Since then, the game’s original release date has been pushed back a few times, until it was due out this summer by the time we were able to play a preview of it.

Hyper Light Breaker Unlike its predecessor with 2D visuals, it is an action rogue-lite with a full 3D environment. It’s an open-world game set in a fantasy-cyberpunk universe where you can explore a landscape called Overgrowth and play with friends through online co-op. Engadget editor-in-chief Jessica Conditt called it a “hoverboard sim.” practicalalthough you can simply explore its world on a sliding board, avoid enemy encounters and enjoy the scenery if you wish.
