The second season it’s just around the corner. If you haven’t watched the first batch of episodes, or if you want to refresh your memory and your Prime subscription has run out, there’s a way you can do it for free. You can do it from today until August 28 about TVs and other devices where Samsung TV Plus is available.
This is the first time the show has been legally available to stream for free (unless you have access for free). Samsung is making the show available to users in the US, UK, Canada, Brazil and Germany on Samsung TVs and Galaxy devices. The eight-episode season will also be available as part of the Samsung TV Plus channel offering in selected regions globally, the company said.
It’s worth noting that Samsung TV Plus is ad-supported, so if you choose to watch it Rings of Power there, the episodes will contain ads. In addition to Samsung TVs and mobile devices, the Samsung TV Plus program is available on some of the company’s refrigerators, which can be an interesting way to watch or rewatch the first season.
Meanwhile, released the final trailer for the second season Rings of Power. “War has come to Middle-earth,” says a character (I might have recognized if I’d watched the first season) before briefly seeing an orc army march through what appears to be Minas Tirith as Sauron exercises his powers. There’s plenty of eye-popping footage in the trailer, which shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise considering it’s going to be the most expensive TV show of all time. The second season will debut on Prime Video on August 29.
