Castle building game Little Glade It’s the Internet’s collective “Awwwww, isn’t that cuuuute?” has a release date. Wholesome Games announced in a new trailer today Little Glade It will be released on September 23 Steam. Little Glade is a sandbox building game that seems to defy the competitiveness of most building games. City building and construction games are fun, but maintaining a huge, virtual metropolis can sometimes be uncomfortable. You’re just trying to unwind at the end of a hard day’s gaming, and before you know it, you’re stressing over things like sewer taxes, industrial zones, and giant monster attacks.
Little Glade creates a unique space in the construction game genre by removing all those annoying municipal obstacles and letting you build something just for the joy of building it. You can build towering castles or just an adorable little British village that looks like the perfect setting for an Elizabethan love story.
The level of detail you can control is also amazing. As you move your cursor to build a brick wall or a tiled roof, you can see each individual piece pop out of the air and gradually assemble into your creative creation. Anything you click on in your model village can be changed, added or decorated. There are tools to modify the terrain to create hills or smooth the ground and add lily pads, trees and even a pristine pond with wildlife like ducks.
Best of all, you don’t have to worry if your hours of creativity are in danger of being sacked and destroyed by invading troops or warring factions. Based on this trailer, it seems so Little Glade it’s the relaxing game equivalent of taking a long, hot bath.
