Bluetooth item trackers are small and can easily be placed in a purse, wallet, or jacket pocket, but if you want to attach the AirTag to your keys or otherwise attach it to an item, you’ll need to carry the bag. There are many to choose from, so finding one that suits your needs (and personal style) shouldn’t be difficult. AirTags use a replaceable battery – the common CR2032 lithium 3V coin cell battery – which should last about a year, so you don’t have to worry about charging it or yours dying after a short period of time.
AirTags uses Bluetooth and a massive network of Apple devices in nature to locate your item on a map. Recent iPhone models with an ultra-broadband chip can also use Pinpoint Find with Find Nearby to track misplaced items, such as keys, that you know are in your home. The app will use arrows and distance indicators to guide you to the missing item, and you can ping the AirTag to play a sound.
