I finally understand the hype around the Playdate game Root Bear

is one of them to new Playdate owners who are always looking for a place to start. After months of coming across the title on the internet and wondering what could be so great about a game about pouring root beer for bears, I finally decided to give it a try this weekend. And, yes, I totally get it now. Root bear funny is fun — emphasis on funny.

Root bear is a $3 Catalog game where your goal is to achieve the perfect pour of root beer from the tap while discerning customers (all bears, of course) judge your work. You can take it too itch.io. The game requires precise use of the crank to get the root beer flowing at the right speed, and cut it at the right time so it doesn’t rise above or fall back above the desired fill line. There’s also foam to consider, and how it sits can really mess you up if you’re not careful. The closer you get to a perfect cast, the more money you’ll earn.

This is the type of design that brings out a person’s competitiveness. But the best part Root bear are the bears themselves. Or their reactions. The first time I messed up a customer’s order, the bear was empty I was by no means ready – with a facial expression to match – and I was completely floored. so yes Root bear it’s a really good, really silly time.
