A new hand-drawn platformer is coming to PC and consoles, and it looks absolutely breathtaking. Announced during THQ Nordic’s Digital Showcase on Friday, it’s an upcoming title from Weappy Studio “inspired by ancient tales and illustrated in classic frame-by-frame animation.” No release date yet, but when it does, it will be available for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
Weappy describes Goldman’s Eternal Life As “a vivid yet dark platform adventure that combines legends, fables, and myths.”
Its protagonist is an old man who uses a club to fight legendary creatures in an area known as an archipelago. The trailer gives us a glimpse of some gameplay footage that reveals a vast and gorgeously animated fantasy world. The developers say that it is designed to be challenging, but not tedious, and encourages exploration to unlock all the secrets of the Archipelago.
