Hack and payback Instagram scammer gets nabbed after bragging about it on a podcast

An apparent guest the No jumper podcast hacking his victims’ social media accounts and boasting about a kickback scheme could face federal charges. Idris Qibaa, known as “Dani” and “Unlocked,” who authorities say runs the social media hacking site Unlocked4Life.com, is facing two criminal charges filed by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Nevada for allegedly violating interstate communications laws. According to the obtained documents, SMS was sent to the two victims and their family members 404 Media.

Investigators filed a sealed complaint against Qibaa on July 25 and issued a warrant during his first preliminary appearance in court the following Monday, according to federal court records.

The FBI received information about Qibaa’s alleged extortion scheme on April 1, the criminal complaint says. No jumper Podcasted in January by Adam22, aka Adam Grandmaison, aka “Dani”. Qibaa disclosed a financial scheme that used the social media accounts of more than 200 victims to ban them from their pages and charge them to regain access.

He also boasted that he was earning about $600,000 a month from his activities and hired two bodyguards to follow him.

“You make $2 million a month from your Instagram and Telegram,” Qibaa says on the podcast. “I come and take it and refund you and make it public and publish it and expose you.”

Qibaa even said in a podcast episode that he’s schemed celebrities who unknowingly pay him to get their social networks back. He then recorded his menacing laugh, saying, “I’m so petite.”

“I’ve talked to stars who say they paid me 20 times to give back,” Qibaa says. The things that happen to you, as soon as you get back… you get usurped.”

The criminal complaint details eight victims’ encounters with Qibaa and its services. Someone known as “JT” ran two Instagram accounts: a so-called mystery news feed “blacklist xyz” and underneath is a cannabis trading shop “caliplug”, they are both currently private. JT contacted Qibaa asking if he could get a username. Qibaa suggested a price between $4,000 and $5,000. JT refused to accept Qibaa’s offer and Qibaa responded with threats.

“Gibba told JT that JT was wasting Qibaa’s time, blocked JT’s Instagram pages and demanded $10,000 to reinstate him,” the complaint states. “JT offered Qibaa $8,500 to recover the account, Qibaa accepted the offer.”

Qibba contacted JT two more times, the complaint states. Qibba first asked if JT would promote his Instagram page under the since-discontinued username “unlocked4life”. JT agreed, but when he found out that Qibaa had threatened and extorted other victims, he confronted Qibaa and “Qibaa was furious.”

A few months later, Qibaa apparently escalated his threats against JT and his family members. He sent threats to call the victim’s ex-wife’s attorney and child protective services for his children. Screenshots of the victims’ phones show Qibaa identifying the victim’s sister’s address and phone number. He texted another family member and introduced himself as “The guy who’s going to kill your drug dealer brother.” Tell him it’s Unlocked, but he says hello. We have information about your entire family.”

Another victim, identified as a journalist and comedian with the initials “EH”, learned that they were the target of Qibaa’s illegal services. Qibaa blocked their Instagram account, whose name was redacted, at the request of a dentist who treated them in California. EH applied to his Unlocked4Life account and received a reply saying “Yo bu Idris”. He then told EH to pull the car up No jumper podcast episode featuring the interview. Qibaa not only took away access to the victim’s Instagram account, but also threatened to take their Social Security number and “explode” them if they didn’t pay her $20,000.

Not even a restraining order could have forced Qibaa to leave his victims alone, according to the complaint. Someone named “RB” got a restraining order from Los Angeles County Superior Court in July, but “Unblocked” responded: “Dear restraining order.. last I checked you’re still going to die.” Then “UNLOCKED UNCENSORED” on Telegram wrote “$50,000 reward for BO sleepers this week.”

Perhaps the most disturbing threats have been made to several victims. In them, Qibaa claimed that if he was not paid, he would happily go to prison. Screenshots of the text chains refer to victims of a person named “Dani” and “Daniel” as “I’ll come and shoot you myself,” “I’ll bury you for this shit,” and “D., L., J., T., Children-Primary Targets.” holds

In another text thread, Qibaa allegedly claimed to someone that he would “get life in prison for killing you” and “If I had to shoot you myself, he would get life in prison.” [sic]” and “I will happily go to prison”. He follows up the text with the threat, ‘This is the last guy coming to take pictures/close to my house,’ and sends three pictures of an unidentified bearded man, his car, and a picture of him on the ground, badly bruised and covered in blood.”

Adam22 said of his podcast interview with “Dani” that he was “excited to see the outcome of this” and that he “respects the hustle, even though I can’t justify it on a moral level.”
