Don Lemon is suing Elon Musk and X

The former CNN anchor filed a lawsuit against Musk and X on Thursday reports. The lawsuit concerns an alleged payment agreement that Lemon says Musk refuses to honor. Lemon filed his lawsuit in the California Supreme Court in San Francisco.

Lemon claims to have agreed to produce a news and interview show on the X platform in January. Lemon would receive $1.5 million a year and a share of advertising revenue for producing premium content for X. However, Lemon claims in her filing that she never signed the contract because Musk told her she didn’t need to “fill out the paperwork” and that he would have supported her show regardless of her views or interview subjects..

Lemon began his first episode by interviewing Musk, asking questions about Musk’s alleged ketamine use, his views on transgender individuals, and his stance on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) hiring initiatives. Lemon also questioned Musk appeared to support a racist belief known as the “great replacement theory”. A few hours after the interview, Musk texted Lemon to say the deal was over.
