Google Maps will show you where to enter your destination

If you are dedicated Google Maps user like me, then you know it’s not perfect. However, Google is now announcing a number of improvements New features for maps and Waze. One of the things I found most interesting is the additional instruction for entering buildings and where to park. In the coming weeks, the Map will begin to illuminate the destination and its entrance as you approach, so (hopefully!) you won’t have to circle it three times in the dark.

Google now makes it easy to report incidents, too Using maps, increase the size of these icons so you can share quickly and securely on the go. You can also tap to confirm a previously reported event once you’re close to it.

Waze gets three updates, including new camera alerts. Waze will now be able to alert you when a camera is approaching and tell you what it is monitoring, be it speed, seat belts or the use of precise car lanes. Waze will notify you when a traffic incident occurs near or near one of the starred locations. You can then send an alert to a friend or family member. Both of these updates are now rolling out on iOS and Android. Rounding off the Waze updates is the ability to get navigation guidance even when your phone is locked. The feature will be available globally on Android soon, and will come to iOS in the fall.
