It may come a few months later than expected, but Fallout: London it’s finally here. Expansion size mod for Fallout 4 is now on Steam and GOG. You can choose the free mod from the latter and will work with both the Steam and GOG versions of the base game. As a starter version, there are some caveats Fallout: London does not match recent times major Fallout 4 update.
Developer Team Folon is working to fix this. In the meantime, you can download the pre-patched version Fallout 4 now from GOG (the game is currently 60 percent off there). GOG and Team Folon have created a one-click installer for the mod to make getting in as easy as possible.
Everything is a little different on Steam current version Fallout 4 not compatible with the mod. To play Fallout: London you will have to manually download the original game through that storefront. It will take some work, but you can find step-by-step instructions here Team Folon website.
Fallout: London with new story and environments, fully voiced characters and new weapons, factions (including Knights of Camelot) and gameplay features to grasp. The trailer (with a Cockney-rhyming slang-filled voiceover by someone from the Manchester area) gives a decent overview of what’s in store: Fallout, but with a decidedly British post-apocalypse bent.
It took Team Folon more than five years of amateur and professional developers to develop the mod. That was the initial plan release Fallout: London returned in Aprilbut Bethesda’s latest patch threw a spanner in the works.
In any case, the long development process seems to favor the Folon team. There was one Huge surge of interest in Fallout since success of the TV show that debuted on Prime Video earlier this year. Bethesda and Microsoft weren’t ready to take advantage of this with a new game (although a Fallout: 76 Enlargement fell last month), so Team Folon can benefit.
