The 2024 MacBook Air The M3 chip adds Apple’s 3nm process silicon, which squeezes more electronic components into a smaller footprint than its predecessor. It will become even more important with the introduction of Apple’s Neural Engine Apple Intelligence AI features This fall is 15 percent faster than M2 in the M3 family. While the M3 MacBook Air doesn’t offer a dramatic speed boost over the M2 for everyday tasks, it has a higher ceiling for intensive work and is more future-proof.

The M3 model adds support for dual displays with a lid. If you have a compatible router, it also supports the higher speeds and lower latency of Wi-Fi 6E.
Engadget Editor-in-Chief Devindra Hardavar praised the device in his review from earlier this year described the two laptop sizes as “excellent computers with great performance, great screens, and incredible battery life.” The M3 MacBook Air lasted more than 10 hours in our video playback battery stress test.
While B&H’s $200 discount is on the 13-inch model, the retailer (which operates online and also has a solid retail location in Manhattan) is offering the 15-inch model for $150 off. If you like more real estate for your apps and desktop (or need bigger text for aging eyes like mine), the larger model might be a better choice.
One thing to keep in mind before ordering is that B&H’s return policy states that they will not take computers back for a refund once the packaging has been unsealed. Although, if something goes wrong out of the box, you can contact customer service for an exchange, but buyer’s remorse won’t cut it to get your money back. This contrasts with competitors like the Apple Store, Amazon, and Best Buy, so keep that in mind before proceeding. However, aside from that note, B&H has been an Apple partner for nearly a decade and has built a solid reputation among customers since 1973.
