Lego just announced their first sets inspired by the gaming phenomenon Fortnite. These sets are drawn from both the original game and the game’s characters and vehicles brick-based spinoff Lego Fortniteas an Ouroboros of corporate synergy.
The worst of the bunch seems to be the 954 Battle Bus set for $100. It’s a brick-based replica of the iconic hot air balloon on wheels, complete with a removable roof and characters like Meowscles, Raven and Cuddle Team Leader.
The 1,414-piece Peely Bone set appeals to more collectors than kids. It turns into a giant version of rares Fortnite a character who is half banana and half skeleton. The kit comes with accessories such as a stick and paint starter. The price of this set is also 100 dollars.
The game’s beloved Supply Llama also gets a set. This 691-piece set lets fans create an iconic character, and it includes a grappler, Slurp Juice, Slap Juice, and more. comes with many themed accessories including This kit costs $40, which isn’t too bad considering the number of pieces involved.
Finally, there’s the junior Durrr Burger set, designed entirely for kids. This 193 piece set is based on the above Fortnite landmark (it’s a restaurant in the game.) It even comes with an olive on a toothpick. The kit costs only $15.
All of these sets currently available for pre-order directly from Lego, but we’ll have to wait a bit before they ship. The kits aren’t officially released until October 1st Jaws-inspiration kit comes out in August and a massive 2,500-piece set based on The Legend of Zelda Will ship on September 1st.
