Spotify’s AI music DJ can now speak Spanish


AI permeates every aspect of society these days, but it may not be the case in communities where English is not the dominant language. Spotify tries to fix this by offering the Spanish version of his DJ feature.

On Wednesday, Spotify announced a new Spanish-language feature for its DJ mode, known as Xavier or “X.” The new DJ’s name is Livy, and Spotify even gave their new DJ a story describing him as a “Senior Music Editor at Spotify based out of Mexico” and a “music expert who has spent his entire career in the music industry.”
