Wherever you are and even if you don’t pay for a residential subscription, you can now get Starlink Mini in the US. SpaceX began offering a new Starlink pod model small enough to fit in a backpack to select users in late June. Despite its small size, which made it easy to carry and transport, the Mini required an existing $150 standard service plan—you can use the Mini Roam service for just an additional $30 per month. Now you can get it for yourself with roaming service.
A mobile regional plan costs $150 per month and will give you unlimited data access. If you live in an RV or travel to remote locations for extended periods of time, this is probably a better option. Meanwhile, the Mini Roam plan costs $50 a month and will give you access to 50GB of data, which is likely more than enough unless you live on the road full-time. Note that you can use the Mini Roam on the move at any time while you are on land. The mobile regional plan has limited traffic usage and only works when you’re traveling slower than 10 mph, although you can choose to add data for traffic on a per-GB basis.
Like other Starlink terminals, you will have to pay upfront for the Mini. A stand with a USB-C connector on one end and a barrel slot on the other, a tube adapter, power supply and cord will cost $599.
