Elden Ringlatest DLC, Shade of Erdtree, is massive expansion. This brings multiplayer back to the game like the frosty days of 2022. he it’s really simple . Everything is polished and excellent. This new content is also very, very difficult in true FromSoftware fashion. It is actually so difficult that the developer it (somewhat) eases the struggle.
The changes center around the DLC’s new Shadow Realm Blessings mechanic, which boosts attack and negate damage, but only in the DLC itself. Scadutree fragments were previously believed to boost player character stats by around five percent, and Revered Spirit Ashes would do about the same for companions such as soul ashes and Torrent.
The developer increased the stat boosts on the front end to make it a little easier in the early parts of the expansion. This means that if you’ve already battled through the DLC’s opening hours, you’ll get a gold star and hardly notice any changes moving forward. This patch is mainly for new players. For PC users, the update also fixes a bug that allowed ray tracing to happen automatically if you loaded save data in a certain way.
This patch follows a challenge that caused players to review the DLC on Steam. . Hey, at least this particular example of view bombing wasn’t culture war nonsense.
There’s a bigger question about the difficulty of our video games. Are some titles just too hard, or are modern players just used to holding hands? I don’t have an answer for everyone, but I do have one.
I’m busy and just don’t have time to play the same part of a game over and over again. It’s a one-way ticket for me to lose interest and move on to something else. I’m one to appreciate a patch like this. However, I don’t want to take someone else’s challenge. We all get something different from our hobby. Perfect solution, a tried and true challenge for me. But developers are already suffering from the crisis and that would be another thing to worry about. Why can’t the world be black and white?! Oh, I’m going to go work on myself.
