The Google Pixel Tablet has a charging speaker . That’s a 26 percent discount for a tablet and a record low. That’s a pretty good deal for a device that’s still less than a year old.

It’s worth re-emphasizing that this sale is for the tablet and charging speaker. It is the last accessory that is mainly responsible last year. The dock allows the tablet to double as a smart display. It charges the tablet quickly and provides a solid base for touch gestures. The speakers are also louder than expected considering the size. The combination of a useful dashboard, easy-to-read interface and impressive sound makes it a smart display.
We were a little cold on the tablet itself, although it serves perfectly. The nano-ceramic coating and glass-like kickstand make it feel more expensive than it is, and the low weight of just over a pound ensures you won’t feel cramped while streaming the latest hit TV show. However, it is slightly heavier than the iPad Air.
There’s also a neat little kickstand combo that lets you place your tablet almost anywhere. This is useful, for example, when following a recipe in the kitchen. You can just hang it on the closet button. The 2,560 x 1,600 LCD panel isn’t as vibrant as modern OLEDs, but it gets the job done.
The Pixel Tablet is the first Google tablet with a Chromecast receiver, so you can control it from your phone. This is especially useful when viewing streaming apps, although it only works when docked.
