Slapstick platformer Thank Goodness You’re Here! arrives August 1

Thank goodness you’re here! was perhaps the highlight Untitled Goose Game published by Panic’s first game show last year. It is described as a “slapformer” or slapstick platformer and is set in the fictional Northern English town of Barnsworth. Cartoon Network has won the hearts of many people with its aesthetic and very British sense of humor.

Today, developer Coal Supper announced the game’s voice cast with Matt Berry (What we do in the shadows) headline and plenty of UK talent will be familiar to those in the know, including Chris Cantrill Icklewick FM. Expect lots of accents, which will be subtitled on US TV.

Also new is the release date of August 1, which says the Coal Dinner is also Yorkshire Day. My slightly northern colleague Mat Smith informs me that this is a real thing. Anyway, this all sounds like a lot of fun – it’s coming PC, Transition and Game stationand you can catch many cute GIFs in the game official site.
