Smart TVs are the default choice for the biggest screen in the home (unless you have a projector, that is). It’s super fast because it runs on the A15 Bionic chip — the same device that powers the iPhone 14. It takes very little time to download apps or switch between apps. With the help of the Siri remote’s touch-sensitive navigation pad, you can quickly jump to a specific point in an episode or movie. The box (which has a smaller, fanless design than previous generations) also offers excellent picture quality and supports 4K Dolby Vision and HDR10+.
Setting up Apple TV 4K is a challenge if you have an iPhone, but you don’t need other Apple products to get much out of the device (even if the Apple TV software is skewed towards Apple TV+ content). Those in the Apple ecosystem will likely appreciate being able to enjoy Apple Fitness+ and Apple Arcade on the big screen.
