Opera is adding Google’s Gemini AI to its browser


Opera users can now rely on the capabilities of OpenAI’s large language models (LLM) when using the browser. Aria built-in AI assistant. The company’s partnership with Google also allows Aria to offer new experimental features as part of its AI Feature Drop program. Users with the Opera One Developer version of the browser can try out Google’s new image creation feature powered by Imagen 2 for free — for example, in the image above, a user asks Aria to “take a photo of a dog resting. a drinking beach.” In addition, users can use Google’s text-to-speech model to read Aria’s responses in a conversational tone. If testing goes well, Opera may roll out the features to everyone, though they’re still early adopters. they may undergo some changes depending on the feedback of the makers.
