In 2021, Weber presented the first smart gas grills. After developing the Weber Connect platform for SmokeFire pellets and Smart Grilling Hubthe company has brought Wi-Fi-connected cooking to a more widely used fuel source. Last year, the company spruced things up a bit with the PureBlu high-heat burners, drying zone, side table, extendable top cooking grate and “Nightvision” LED lighting. If 2022 EPX-335 doesn’t suit your needs, there are other options that come in three- and four-burner configurations in porcelain enamel or stainless steel. Plus, there are both propane and natural gas models, and some come with a side burner if you need them.
Of course, the main attraction here is the Weber Connect integration. As with the SmokeFire grill grills and Smart Grilling Hub, technology can guide you through every step of the grilling process. A mix of tutorials and videos within the Weber Connect app offers help from when to flip your steak for grillers of all skill levels. Plus, the system offers real-time food temperature and estimated readiness countdowns on your phone, so you can better time side dishes like veggie skewers (and keep the hangover crowd at bay). Weber Connect can also monitor the fuel level on its gas smart grills so you know when it’s time to change the tanks.
Weber has also introduced many grill tool kits and accessories that expand the capabilities of gas grills. The company manufactures grill mitts, grill grates, grill baskets, rotisserie products and pizza stones, as well as grill cleaning tools such as scrapers and brushes. There’s also a grill attachment that lets you cook everything from breakfast to burgers. And if you want to change the entire grill area, Weber has a full-size grill accessory that will do just that.
