Google has an offer for iPad owners Curious about the Pixel Tablet. The company has a trade-in promotion for iPad owners that covers at least the price of the Pixel Tablet — if not more, depending on which model you have. It also works with Samsung tablets, but these purchase values are lower. The Pixel Tablet It costs $399 (without deals) for 128GB of storage and doesn’t have a charging speaker.

Promo still works with older iPads sixth generation model from six years ago. For it, Google will set you back a surprising $399 — matching the base price of the Pixel Tablet. This iPad model only costs $329 in 2018, so Google is paying a lot for it.
However, Google balances this with worse offerings for modern, high-end iPads. For example, 12.9-inch iPad Pro with M2 chip (2022) earns only $450. Until this week (company introduced the new iPad Pro and iPad Air), Apple sold that model for $1,099, so we don’t recommend that purchase price. If you’re done with a high-end iPad from the past few years, you can sell it for a much higher price on places like eBay, Craigslist, or Swappa.
The Pixel Tablet differs from its Android-powered rivals in that it features a charging speaker base that allows the device to double as a smart display, making it more versatile. Engadget’s Cherlynn Low thought this part overshadowed its core functionality as a tablet. “As a smart display, the Pixel Tablet mostly shines. It has a useful dashboard, an easy-to-read interface and impressive sound quality,” he writes. our full review.
The tablet has a 10.95-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 (276 PPI) and is powered by a Google Tensor G2 chip. It weighs just over a pound and is lighter than its Android counterparts Galaxy Tab S8 and OnePlus Pad. There’s a nano-ceramic coating on the back that gives a high-quality glass feel that you wouldn’t expect from a $399 device.
Accessories are where the Pixel Tablet stands out the most. Google’s Pixel Tablet Case, sold separately for $79, has a built-in stand that makes the slate even more versatile. “What I like about the stand-suspension combo is that it allows you to place your tablet almost anywhere,” Lou writes in his Engadget review. “So when I want to hang it on the kitchen cabinet, I want to watch or continue watching the recipe video Love Is Blind for example, I can. And while the 2560 x 1600 LCD panel wasn’t as vivid as the OLED in Samsung’s Galaxy Tabs, it still produced clear details and colorful images.”
It is a star accessory Google’s $129 charging speaker dock, you can use it without removing the support box. This product turns a tablet into a smart display, potentially eliminating the need for other smart home control centers. The speaker is impressively loud for its size, making it easy to hear his responses when you’re not around him.
Google’s fine print notes that the trade-in price will be finalized after the tablet is purchased, and could be lower if it determines that the condition doesn’t match your selection during the purchase process. Refunds will be made to the credit card you used to purchase the Pixel Tablet (or via Google Store credit if you return your purchase during this period).
