Meta offers some creators thousands of dollars If they go viral on Threads. The payouts are part of a new invitation-only bonus program that rewards creators who use Meta’s newest software.
An Instagram provides some details. It says that creators can earn money based on “the performance of your Threads posts” or “the number of posts you create.” So go for either quality or quantity, it seems. Apparently, the terms of the bonuses are unique for each creator.
according to At least one creator on Threads has been offered “up to $5,000” for Threads posts or replies with 10,000 views or more. Unfortunately, we can’t see how many views this screenshot has had so far, and whether or not it has earned him any money.
While not as high as the $10,000 bonus that Reels creators have earned in the past, it’s still pretty generous considering the little effort it takes to write a Threads missive.
The company calls it “in testing,” but it offers a glimpse of how Meta might try to increase engagement on the service. It’s the same playbook as the meta On Facebook and Instagram.
