Yale makes it easy to go keyless with a smart lock system that can be retrofitted to most existing sliders. You won’t need to replace existing equipment with the Yale Access Lock with Wi-Fi. It’s an internal-only smart lock that Yale says will take just 10 minutes to install and you’ll only need a screwdriver to get the job done. It also has a slim enough profile to sit just 1.6 inches away from the door.
Once the smart lock is installed, you will be able to use features like Auto Lock and Auto Unlock. If you’re away from home and want to let a friend water the plants or check on your pets, you can unlock the door remotely with the Yale Access app. Plus, Yale’s approach is tenant-friendly. It sits behind most standard sliders, and you (and your host) can continue to use the same buttons. In addition, Yale Approach works with Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Philips Hue and Samsung SmartThings. Financial support will be added later.
Also new is the Yale Keyboard, which is consistent with the Yale approach, a number of the company’s other products, and more. August smart locks.
