we emphasize Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ our Android tablet buying guide for those who want a competent slate for as little money as possible. If that describes you, take note: The 11-inch device is now available for $170 at several retailers, including Amazon. Walmart and Best Buy. This deal has technically been around for a few weeks, but it still represents the lowest price we’ve tracked. For information, Samsung usually sells the tablet for $220. Both Graphite and Silver finishes are discounted.
This matches the lowest price we’ve seen for the best budget option in our Android tablet buying guide. There is also another version with more RAM and storage It sells for $220another lowest.
Note that this price is for the base model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The latter can be expanded by a microSD card, but if you want to push your tablet for anything other than casual streaming and web browsing, the limited storage may cause some stuttering. Samsung sells higher end model With 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage: This will be a better buy for gaming and more engaging use, and it’s also $50 off $220, another rock-bottom price.
As my colleague Sam Rutherford points out in our buying guide , the Galaxy Tab A9+ won’t blow you away in any one area, but it covers the basics well. Its 11-inch LCD display is a good size and has a faster-than-usual 90Hz refresh rate, which helps the UI feel smooth to scroll through. The screen has a wide 16:10 aspect ratio, so it’s more landscape-friendly than the 4:3 display on the iPad. The metal and plastic frame suits the price, while the 7,040mAh battery should last a day or two of casual use. While no Android tablet has the software experience, most people should find the Samsung One UI cleaner than anything like this. Amazon’s Fire OS. The says the company it will provide OS updates through the latest Android 16 and security updates until October 2027.
That said, it’s still a cheap tablet. The Galaxy Tab A9+’s Snapdragon 695 chip is plenty fast, but there’s no power pack, and its charging speed is a relatively paltry 15W. There’s no fingerprint reader, included stylus, or official water resistance rating. If you’re not into Android, one of these Apple’s iPads will still be more comprehensive (although we wait to see new models will arrive in the coming weeks). Still, at these prices, the Galaxy Tab A9+ is a solid buy if you’re on a tighter budget.
