PC gaming can get expensive really fast. A good gaming desk can cost a lot more than you expect, and a gaming laptop can really take a bite out of your wallet. But the good thing is that peripherals like it gaming headphones, keyboards, mouse and no need to break the bank any more. The best gaming accessories don’t always cost a fortune, and we can partly thank a booming industry for that. If you’re looking for a few new PC gaming accessories to add to your setup, but don’t want to spend a fortune to expand your kit, the options below are some of our favorites.
Gaming headphones
The Recon Spark has been one of my favorite headphones for years; it was actually my daily driver at the Engadget office. There are some good reasons for this: it offers solid sound in both its cups and microphone, plus it’s comfortable, sturdy, and cute. It may not be wireless, but you can just plug it into almost any desktop or laptop and not have to worry about driver compatibility or installing software or anything like that. It is also a great choice for children.
While the Recon Spark is my preferred work headset, the one I use at home is wireless Logitech G733. It sounds great, has phenomenal battery life and just the right amount of bling, with brightly colored LED strips on the front and a customizable fabric headband. I use it to play Dungeons and Dragons I’ve been podcasting with friends on Discord as well as the occasional podcast. It’s only been around for a few years, but that means you can get this headset for under $100 at some retailers. If it’s still too rich for your blood, check out a similar one G435.
If you’re looking for crisp sound, SteelSeries has always offered excellent clarity and volume, and the Arctis line does so at a reasonable price point. The New 1 is wired gaming headset everything feels top-notch, thanks to its sturdy build (I’ve already dropped it twice), the smooth, matte finish, and the soft, comfortable earcups. They can block low sounds, but not things like the TV or a crying baby, making these headphones ideal for new parents. The adjustable microphone is built-in, so you don’t have to worry about losing it.
Since video conferencing from home has exploded during the pandemic, I extol the benefits of using a headset for all your business meetings. They block out unwanted noise, deliver your voice loud and clear, and are a good sign for others that you’re on a call. The only problem is that the gaming headset does not look very professional, but it is Zone Vibe is a breath of fresh air. It offers all of Logitech’s expertise in delivering solid gaming audio in a stylish wireless package you won’t be embarrassed to wear in front of the boss.
Gaming keyboards
When it comes to buying a keyboard, my first recommendation will always be “Buy a Corsair”. Corsair keyboards offer a great typing experience and they are very durable. Unfortunately, they are not the best budget option because they are quite expensive, with the cheapest ones usually costing around $120. Fortunately, Corsair introduced the K60 RGB Pro a few years ago, and I would recommend it Low profile version for those who are used to typing on laptop keyboards. No, it’s not the same as a membrane keyboard โ it’s light years better, with mechanical keys and a durable build that will last you for years (and hundreds, if not thousands, of gaming matches).
One of the hot new things in the game seems to be the 60 percent keyboard, which cuts out the number pad to make more room on your desk for a mouse or other accessories. Being small also means they’re less expensive, so budget-conscious players should look into the decks as well. Alloy origin 60. Besides being small and affordable, it’s rock solid. The placement of the arrow keys in the lower right corner should also be less confusing for those switching from a full-sized deck.
Mechanical keyboards are great, but even the quietest of them can be too noisy for some environments. The Apex TKL it’s great at being invisible: it’s a 60-percent deck, so it’s compact, and its keys respond great to typing while staying whisper-quiet. The Apex TKL is slightly larger than many other keyboards that eschew the number pad, but for good reason โ you’ll appreciate the dedicated arrow keys and volume rocker, the latter of which is a must-have for anyone using a PC. a lot of media on their device.
Gaming mice
Going on a budget doesn’t mean you have to skimp on quality or looks G305 it’s both a high-performance and stylish mouse. What’s also nice is that it keeps things simple with six programmable buttons and a sleek profile. Battery life is rated at 250 hours, though I swear it’s longer based on personal use, and it only needs one AAA battery so you can swap it out and be back in the game in seconds. If you have headphones like the G435, you can match the lilac G305 or just stick with the basic black model. If you want to save more money and don’t mind having a wired mouse, then check it out too G203 Speed โโof lightwe recommend it buying guide to the best gaming mice.
Whether it’s water, coffee, or soda, every gamer knows the pain of spilling something on their desk once or twice. The Aerox 3 it can look like it’s headed for disaster because of all the holes in it. But it’s actually rated IP54, which means it can take a good splash and just keep working (although it can get a little sticky if you don’t wipe it down). Not only do the holes look cool, they make the mouse lighter to handle (if that’s your thing) and prevent heat build-up in your palm.
If you’re looking for something a little more traditional but still affordable and wireless, Rival 3 it might just be up your alley. It’s a basic black mouse with a sleek outline and five programmable buttons. It comes with a wireless receiver to ensure a strong connection, but also works over Bluetooth so you can easily transfer it to your laptop or mobile device. This makes it great for the office as well as for gaming, saving you money in the end.
