Amazon’s new Fire HD 10 tablet it’s a solid boost over its predecessor, thanks in part to 25 percent faster performance and 3GB of RAM. It has a 10.1-inch HD touchscreen with a resolution of 1920 x 1200, 5-megapixel front and rear cameras, and a 13-hour battery. Plus, it offers a microSD slot that can be used to add another 1TB of storage. This model has lock screen ads and it currently costs $110 to buy the device without them.
Then there is Amazon’s 32GB Fire HD 8 tablet, marked down from $100 to $65 thanks to a 35 percent discount. The eight-inch HD, 1280 x 800 resolution display also has lock screen ads for this price. The processor of the Fire HD 8 tablet is 30 percent faster than its predecessor and has 2 GB of RAM. For $30 less than the Fire HD 10 tablet, it offers similar features without the high-res (or large) screen.
