Those looking to upgrade their headphones could do a lot worse than buying a pair of Beats Studio Buds +. We think they’re the best Beats option for most people. In addition, they give Apple fans who don’t necessarily love the AirPods case, but prefer to stick with the company’s products, a solid option for true wireless headphones. Now is as good a time as any to stock up on Studio Buds + , which is 24 percent off the usual $170. This matches the record low price we saw during last year’s Black Friday period.

We gave Beats Studio Buds + . Compared to the previous model, improved audio and active noise cancellation are key benefits, as is extended battery life. While the sheer color selection is pleasing to the eye, we felt the on-board controls were more reliable. On the downside, there’s still room for improvement in terms of sound, and the surround sound isn’t as natural as it is with the AirPods. The lack of wireless charging can also be considered a failure.
As you can imagine, given that Apple owns the Beats brand, the Studio Buds + play nicely with the parent company’s ecosystem. There’s one-touch pairing with iOS, silent Siri support, and iCloud device pairing. You can control the likes of ANC and transparency mode through the iPhone’s Bluetooth menu, and change the hold-and-hold operation if you like. The headphones are of course also compatible with Android devices.
If you prefer top-of-the-line headphones, it’s worth noting that the Beats Studio Pro headphones have also dropped in price as part of a wider sale on Beats gear. There are headphones , which is $150 off the regular price. Audio enhancements and the inclusion of a transparency mode helped Beats Studio Pro win but for Apple devices, convenience like lack of multi-point connectivity can be an issue.
