apple In 2021, the iPad mini was updated “All screen” with Liquid Retina design, omitting the Home button and a mini-tablet the larger iPad Air modern design language. The iPad mini has an 8.3-inch screen that supports TrueTone and covers the P3 color gamut. It has a resolution of 2266 x 1488 (326 ppi).
This model also runs on the A15 Bionic chip iPhone 13 series. This tablet ditches Face ID for a Touch ID sensor on the power and sleep button. The iPad mini has a USB-C port for versatile charging and data transfer, and it works with second generation Apple Pencil for notes or digital sketches. Apple estimates up to 10 hours of battery life, which may vary depending on how you use it.
Apple will reportedly refresh its entire iPad lineup this year, and recent rumors point to it a possible launch in late 2024 for the new iPad mini. If these reported plans come to fruition, this model could be the latest in just six to eight months.
If you want a full-sized tablet, Walmart has the 5th generation (10.9-inch) iPad Air for $120f also. You’ll pay just $449 for the 64GB variant. This model runs on an M1 chip with a resolution of 2360 x 1640 (264 ppi) and an estimated 10-hour battery life.
