There’s a Pokémon Presents livestream scheduled for February 27


It’s the Pokémon Company February 27 at 9:00 a.m. ET to share “exciting Pokémon news.” The annual stream, aptly named Pokémon Presents, will provide plenty of information about what’s to come from the pike during 2024.

The company does this stream every year, but this one can be special. After all, it coincides with a completely fictional Pokémon holiday, which also celebrates the original Japanese release. Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green In 1996.

We don’t know exactly what will be shown, but we have some educated guesses. Given previous Pokémon Presents streams, we’re likely to see Pokémon Go, the MOBA Pokémon Unite, and Pokémon Sleep.

From dollars to donuts, we’ll get something more substantial to chew on, too. Most of these streams have an announcement of an actual Pokémon RPG. Chronologically speaking, it’s too early to expect an announcement for a true next-gen Pokémon game. Red and Violet Major entries typically follow a three-year release cycle.

That leaves remakes and spinoffs. Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and A bright pearl It’s released in 2021, so it’s high time for remakes of the beloved Pokémon Black and White fifth generation titles. It’s just a guess, but it’s not like the Pokémon Company is going to skip a generation at remake-a-palooza. this Black and White turn to glitter.

There’s also a chance we’ll get a new Let’s Go title set in another region of the Poké-verse. We might even get an action like new RPG There will always be new and strange announcements Pokémon Mystery Dungeon or even new Pokémon Art Academy This integrates the Switch’s touchscreen.

You should expect some announcements regarding content set in the Pokémon cinematic universe. It’s deliciously weird it was just so we could see a teaser. There may also be a trailer for the new season Pokémon Horizons: The Series.

Also, to throw some cold water on expectations, this is a stream hosted by The Pokémon Company, not Nintendo. You’ll never get a whiff of software planned for the Switch 2, or whatever the new console will be called. There are rumors about the release of that console Nintendo is holding back however, it will focus on third-party titles and likely won’t include any news on the upcoming console.
