Nintendo’s next first-party Switch title is almost here. Princess Peach: Showtime and company To keep the hype train rolling. The game’s main twist is that the oft-kidnapped princess can transform into a number of different professions, each with their own move sets and challenges.
The new trailer gives us a look at four never-before-seen transformations, including a figure skater, a superhero, a thief and a mermaid. Each transformation shakes up the game, so while figure skater Peach shoots stars on a 2.5D platformer, superhero Peach makes her way through a side-scrolling beat-em-up. Mermaid Peach seems to spend most of her time singing.
The previously released trailer shows Peach’s transformation into a swordsman, detective, pastry chef and kung fu master. It remains to be seen how much other experience Prince has. Nintendo has revealed ten so far, but is likely keeping a few as surprises. Peach certainly has a varied resume, and she does it all while ruling a kingdom full of exciting little mushrooms. Meanwhile, Mario plays golf and tennis on his days off.
Princess Peach: Showtime it will cost $60 when it goes on sale next month, and pre-orders are open now. Nintendo too to commemorate the release The controllers will go on sale with the game on March 22nd and will set you back $80.
