Apple took the time to put mixed reality/spatial computing/displays on your face. But finally, Vision Pro is here. Do you need one? Probably not. Will it change the world in a year? Probably not. Is it aimed at developers, wealthy Apple devotees and influencers hoping it will pay dividends in content? Yes.
It also has incredibly sharp, bright displays, the best augmented reality experiences we’ve ever tried, and Apple’s intuitive control and navigation prowess. It’s early days, and if you bought your first iPhone or Apple Watch, you know how it goes. Platforms with more than 45 million users must comply with EU regulations.
ByteDance and Meta, the owners of TikTok, do not intend to pay the European Union to regulate them. The companies objected to a monitoring fee set by EU moderators required to monitor Meta, TikTok and other major platforms under the Digital Services Act (DSA).
All designated companies must allocate 45.2 million euros ($48.7 million). However, companies with little or no profit, such as Amazon and Pinterest, have no debt. Meta, on the other hand, received 11 million euros ($11.9 million) in notes under an existing agreement. ByteDance has not publicly disclosed how much it owes. But the court may be cheaper.
And it has its own Android app.
Just like he did with Microsoft Bing for Copilot, Google is trying to simplify the AI chatbot universe while confusing everyone. Bard and Duet AI are now Gemini, named after Google’s multimodal AI model. Google also debuted a dedicated Gemini Android app alongside a paid version of the chatbot. Install that app and you can replace the default Google Assistant on your Android phone. Along with instant access to Gemini, the overlay will offer contextual suggestions, such as creating a caption for the photo you just took or asking for more information about an article.
The decision was made in response to playtest feedback.
Once again, Motherland 3The long-awaited sequel to the 20-year-old real-time strategy game Motherland 2, is late. The game was originally scheduled for 2022, then 2023, then February 2024, then March 8. Now it will be released on May 13, 2024.
