The NXT Gen Cup it actually started as a support series for the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship last year, but will now adventure across Europe. The events are open to drivers between the ages of 15 and 25 and will compete in all four European races entered. The all-electric series will include both male and female drivers, with the line-up to be announced from next week. Many of these drivers will be under the age of 17, so it gives them “the opportunity to compete on the same circuits as Formula E’s 22 world-class drivers,” Formula E says. As per the latest approval from the FIA, this year’s NXT Gen Cup will be held for the first time on April 13 in Misano, Italy. Racers will drive cars LRT is called NXT1. This front-wheel-drive car has a 180-horsepower engine, plus an additional 60 horsepower from a push-pull transmission.
