According to a leaked document , Google plans to introduce some major changes to its Bard AI tool next week. Plans that have not been publicly confirmed include changing Bard’s name to Gemini. It would make sense for Google to do this, just for the sake of simplicity – the company introduced itself a new multimodal AI model, GeminiIn late 2023, and began integrating it into some of its products, including Bard.
A changelog shared by Android developer Dylan Roussel is dated February 7 and also mentions that the paid Gemini Advanced tier will be available at this time. It also notes that a Gemini app for Android is coming “soon.”
Google has added a new changelog for Bard, and — oh boy — it’s huge!
Availability in Canada is awesome! That said, I don’t really understand the limitations with the program. This is disappointing as someone living in Europe.

According to the document, Gemini Advanced will give users access to the Ultra 1.0 model of Gemini, which is “more adept at performing highly complex tasks such as coding, logical reasoning, following nuanced instructions, and creative collaboration.” It will be available in over 150 countries and will be optimized for English at launch. Changes magazine also says Gemini will be expanding into Canada with this release.
